Monday Links, A.K.A. Let’s All Grab Our Cold Coffee & Read Stuff Together

Welcome to Monday Links! A new series I’m starting that may or may not last past this first week! I guess you’ll just have to keep coming back to my blog to see if I have the discipline to keep a new series going (long time readers have their doubts ?)

I may have found a few new makeup “holy grails”… this lipstick in shade Flaming Coral is a great step up from my beloved Glossier Zip (although that will always be my first love). And this mascara has officially replaced my Glossier lash slick.

On days when I don’t feel like getting dressed I’ve been living in my Arq sets. I’m so glad I finally bit the bullet and got a couple.

Nisolo just launched a Mask Marketplace, so if you’re in the need of a mask (they have kids sizes!) make sure to check it out.

Speaking of Nisolo, their Chelsea Boots are currently 25% off and will be through July 4.

Oh and while we’re on the subject don’t forget to sign up for the Tradlands restock alerts. They will be restocking some of their spring pieces in a couple of weeks. You can see how I styled my favorites from the launch here.

Yoga with Adrien has been bringing it with her June playlist. I’ve felt worked so far this month.

Oh and one more thing on the health and wellness front: I’ve been super loving the blog Lillie Eats and Tells. My friend Paige recommended it, and I’m obsessed with her yummy recipes… plus they keep me SO full thanks to the concentration on macros.

I haven’t gotten a chance to review these for you yet (stay tuned!), but I’m in love with the new espadrilles from Everlane! The leather is so soft, and they’re really comfy. Oh and Everlane is offering 2 Day shipping today only!

Part of the reason I haven’t gotten to it yet is that I took a bit of a break to do some soul searching in regards to my need to be much more committed to anti racist work than I have been in the past.

Tradlands shared great a roundup of Black businesses to support here, I have a list of Black women I’ve been following who have been teaching me a lot here, and I shared my book list that I’ll be utilizing to do my own work here.

My fellow blogger Lee also had a great roundup of Black owned Canadian brands to keep an eye on.

And my other fellow blogger Emma shared a great roundup of Black owned beauty brands to support.

In somewhat related news, I stumbled on this article about why Evangelical Christians are more prone to believing conspiracy theories, and I think it’s a good read. To quote: “Now, more than ever, it is time for white evangelicals like myself to reckon with how conspiratorial thinking has impacted our theology, pop culture and the ways we engage in politics. Only then will we be able to truly start to combat the oppressive forces and systems that disproportionately marginalize some while protecting others: then and only then will we start to be obedient to the words of Jesus, who called us to love every neighbor as ourselves.”

And finally, SPEAKING of conspiracy theories, I just read this article about Q Anon. Have you heard of it? This article is super long, but it’s worth the read. It’s like reading something straight out of a Suzanne Collins novel (anyone else read her new prequel yet? It’s next on my list!)

Well that’s all I have for you today friends! I hope my Monday Links (a.k.a. maybe it’ll be a one time thing and maybe it won’t!) proved useful to you and they help your week start off on the right foot!

Until next time,
