Holiday Look Book Featuring Ethical Fashion

It’s almost December you guys!

So crazy right?

But oh so fun! I’ll let you in on a little secret:

I did a bit of overtime before Thanksgiving and got all of my content (for the most part) done ahead of time so I can take a full month off… yay for me! Yay for… you?

But let’s be real: I don’t have that much time on my hands (and remember I don’t work late at night on blogging anymore… self care/boundaries right?), so there will only be two blog posts a week in December, and I’ll be taking the last week off entirely.

Plus I have a few fun things coming up that I’m excited to share with you so stay tuned.

But mostly I’m just excited to have a month of really focusing in on my family and all that the season entails. Somehow December always ends up being busier than I want it too, and this year I’m fighting hard to keep it simple and slow… family comes first always for me. And boundaries are good. Something that’s taken me 34 years to figure out, but a lesson worth learning.

But today!

Today I have another look book!

You guys really liked my fall look book that I did in September. Like, really liked it. I was actually really surprised ha!

I mostly just did it because I thought it would be a fun way to play with my wardrobe, and be inspired for fall dressing… at the last minute I decided to do it on camera and show you guys.

But so many of you said it was super helpful in figuring out how to put outfits together from a limited amount of clothing… which is great! That’s basically how I do things, and I totally get how seeing a bunch of outfits in one place can be helpful.

SO! We’re going to make it a regular thing… yay for me! Yay for… you!

I want to do a winter look book at some point in January, but today I thought I would focus more on some easy Holiday looks you can throw together with clothing “types” that you most likely already have in your wardrobe.

Look: I’m not going to be showing you a bunch of cocktail dresses for fancy holiday parties for two reasons:

  1. I don’t own any cocktail dresses. I use Rent the Runway when I need something extra fancy because I’m just not living that glamorous life at the moment. Surprised?
  2. I don’t get invited to fancy holiday parties ha! Maybe it’s because I’m from the midwest? Maybe it’s because I’m in my 30’s? I don’t know, but when I get invited to Holiday parties it’s usually casual, sit around and chatting with a glass of wine kind of parties… which I actually prefer 1,000 times over fancy, I’m not comfortable in this dress kinds of parties.

So this is more of an everyday holiday look book: think dressy casual for those chatting/wine drinking parties or something slightly more elevated for Christmas Eve service or a cozy New Years Eve.

Yeah?

So like I did before, I’m going to end my chatting here and just show you some photos! If you like posts where I get into the why’s/details of the outfits I choose, I suggest you check out my “what I wore last week” posts that I do every Monday.

Here we go!
