A Holiday Market

A Holiday Market A Holiday Market A Holiday Market A Holiday Market A Holiday MarketA Holiday Market A Holiday Market A Holiday Market A Holiday MarketA Holiday Market A Holiday Market A Holiday Market

This outfit kind of happened by accident. I mostly wanted to wear these comfortable jeans because some days I just can’t do skinny jeans. You feel me?

But we were going to an outdoor holiday market and it was COLD out so I put on these boots.

I’ve never worn ankle boots with boyfriend jeans before, but I kind of dig it.

Win!

I’ve really tried this holiday season to just go with the flow and enjoy all of the little moments that Christmas brings with it, but you know what? It’s REALLY hard. There is SO much to do, money that must be spent, a LOT of traveling…

I was reading a blog post recently about how we as females have the power to set the mood around us. I think that is SO true!

But it’s also terrifying to know I have that kind of power. I can either bring peace to my household or I can bring turmoil and that is a hefty weight to carry.

What I’m trying to say as that even though it is much easier for me to revert to a stressful attitude this holiday season, it is worth the effort to relax (that sounds a bit like an oxymoron I know) because there is so much you miss when you allow stress to creep in.

And I want my family to enter into the joy of Christmas instead of learning to resent it.

I hope you all enjoy this week and take time to breathe in it’s joy.

Until next time,

Love this outfit! Sometimes the simple ones are the best. I love the rolled cuffs with the ankle boots 🙂 I also definitely agree with setting the mood around you! We have the power to change the energy around us, we just have to take hold of it!

Oh, I love this! Is this by any chance in Bethlehem, PA? I just moved to the east coast this summer (from Hawaii) and was wanting to go the Christkindlemart in Bethlehem this year. Unfortunately, December flew by with a quickness and we didn’t get around to it.

Love the pics, and your style as well! 🙂

I totally agree. We have a big weight on our shoulders, especially during Christmas time, to create a beautiful atmosphere for our families. This year I’m doing everything possible to keep stress levels low and letting a lot of the little things go.

Love your outfit! That market looks lovely 🙂 And I completely agree – I’ve really tried to embrace a more joyful and relaxed attitude this Christmas instead of being so caught up in things being perfect.

First of all, CUTE outfit. Secondly, it is so true about having the power to control the mood in the room. We just celebrated my oldest’s second birthday, and I was stressing out before everyone arrived. The person who was helping me set up was running late, the photographer was unable to make it; my husband told me that I needed to take a chill pill because I was stressing him out and that the kids and everyone else would pick up on it. So I just had to take a deep breathe and move on!

So good Amber! It’s easy to want to act selfish and believe our attitudes only affect us, but it’s a lot harder to realize that we have a responsibility to those around us.
