A couple of weeks ago, I had my sister and niece over to bake some cookies.

I mean, it was fun and all, but don’t let these pictures fool you. This was the calm before the storm.

Approximately one hour after they left I got the worst stomach bug of my entire life.

And what’s worse, I ended up giving it to both of them as well (thankfully Kit didn’t get sick).

But, oh man, was it bad!

I am now completely initiated into the moms don’t get a sick day club.

Awesome.

When I originally had my sister take these pictures my intention was to point out how versatile a sweater like this is.

So:

It can go from cozy lounge sweater, to pulled together outfit in a matter of seconds.

I tried really hard to only include pieces in this capsule that were versatile like this. I feel like my fall and summer capsules were a little bit lacking in that area.

Although to be perfectly honest… this sweater did not cut it when it came to lounging while sick. I changed into my husbands college sweatshirt in about .05 seconds after the first wave hit. Sorry babe!

P.S. my sister wrote a post about not getting a sick day as well. You can find it here.

Until next time,

Ugh! What a bummer to get sick and pass it on like that 🙁 The holidays are no time to be sick!
On the up-side your sweater is darling and I would’ve changed out of it pretty quick too though

Yikes, about the stomach flu. Being sick with young kids is never fun. Cute versatile outfit. 🙂
