Now that there’s only (fingers crossed) a little over a month left of winter I’m finding it very hard to reach for weather appropriate clothing ha! This happens every year, and rather than fight it, I’m embracing it… even if my ankles do get a bit cold. Thankfully, we did actually have a significant warm up a few days ago so I was able to pull out flats and a light jacket and still be comfortable – it was a delight my friends, and it was the perfect time to pull out a couple of new Everlane pieces that I’m excited to bring into Spring.
It’s been a good long while since I really bonded with something from Everlane – as my style continues to evolve and move forward I haven’t been as drawn to their aesthetic as I was in the past… BUT
the striped sweatshirt and white shirt jacket are just what I needed to renew my bond.
I find, when it comes to Everlane, they’re strength lies in their basics, and these two pieces shine in their simplicity.
Outfit Details
Flats are from Katelyn Pan | Tote is old from Tradlands | Hat is from Kinfield | Jeans are old Remy jeans from Agolde, I linked similar
The sweatshirt is a fairly boxy fit, but I love the extra room that provides on days where I just want to be comfortable! The mock neck is nice and loose and it can be folded down if you don’t prefer the height plus the material is very soft… it’s a great mid weight cotton so it drapes beautifully. I ordered it in a small, and it’s the perfect oversized fit.
The shirt jacket is a great lightweight jacket, and the white colorway will be perfect for layering on chilly spring days. It’s not super thin, but I wouldn’t say it’s quite mid weight either. It feels like a true shirt jacket in that it feels like a heavyweight button down. I ordered an XS and it’s still slightly oversized so if you want a more fitted silhouette, I’d go down a couple of sizes.
