I don’t mean to speak out of turn, but… I think I’ve found the perfect dress. Ha! I am a pretty picky person when it comes to my wardrobe. Maybe you’ve already figured that out. But I have very strict criteria for anything that makes it’s way into my wardrobe. I have to like it (that one sounds odd, but it’s amazing how many trends I’ve bought into in the past without actually even liking them) and I have to be able to wear it for everyday life. And for the most part, my wardrobe is filled with things I like and actually wear.
This dress though? I don’t like it. I LOVE it (see what I did there?). It’s one of those pieces that made my heart flutter as soon as I opened the box. The crochet, the 3/4 sleeves, the rounded neckline, the (functioning) pearl buttons… it’s such a romantic dress, but in a fun retro shape. And practically speaking, it’s not too short, covers what I want it to cover, and it’s lined so no fussy under things. Plus, it’s soft and feels so luxe when you’re wearing it.
I could go on, but I won’t. It’s probably my favorite piece of the season so far, and if you buy one thing off of my recommendations this summer, let it be this one. 🙂
Outfit Details
Dress (Gifted. Wearing a Small. Runs true to size.) | Sunglasses | Hat | Sandals are old from Nisolo. These are the closest dupe I’ve been able to find.
This dress is so pretty now with a simple pair of sandals like I did here, but it’s also so cute with a pair of sneakers, as a swimsuit coverup… and it will be so cute for fall with a pair of boots and a blazer or a jean jacket thrown over top (or a trench coat and ballet flats!). I’m really excited to style it when the weather gets cooler (whenever that may be).
Well that’s all I’ve got for you guys today! I hope you enjoyed this little ode to a crochet dress. 😉 Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Until next time,
Karin
