I’m a huge fan of shirt dresses… but only when they are done “right.” I don’t love when they are too fitted, and I don’t love when the length is too long… or too short. And it’s been awhile since I’ve seen a good one… until recently! This little white shirt dress is from Walmart‘s new (ish) clothing brand Free Assembly which is committed to sustainablity + affordability and which focuses on timeless designs. It’s such a good shirt dress you guys! Here’s what I love about it:
The length is that perfect in between midi length so it’s not too short and it’s not too long. It also has a slightly more “boxy” fit so it looks a lot more current than a traditional shirt dress. It has a faint stripe pattern so it looks solid white from afar, but up close you can see the pattern. So pretty! It has functional buttons all the way down (definitely breastfeeding friendly!), and the bottom is lined so you don’t need a slip! Plus the fabric is so lightweight and flowy so it’s perfect for warmer weather (but it would also be cute in fall with a cardigan and tights!). I’m wearing it in an XS.
I love pairing it with a pair of colorful shoes like these pink heeled sandals (they run true to size), a big statement bag, and a fun pair of sunglasses. I love the balance of the minimalism of the dress paired with the fun accessories.
I love a good summer dress, and this one checks all the boxes (plus it’s super affordable!)! It’s the kind of dress I’ll wear on repeat for many years to come. Do you love a good white shirt dress as much as I do? 😉
P.S. The shoes fit true to size.
Until next time,
