TGIF! Ha! This week kind of dragged by for us because of all the sickness going through our family right now. So I’m looking forward to our weekend.

We’re having a birthday party for the girls tomorrow so it won’t be a completely relaxing weekend, but it should be tons of fun.

We’re doing an Octonauts theme because the girls are obsessed ha! And by “theme” I mean I bought some Octonauts cake toppers to use. I, unfortunately, do not have a Pinteresty party bone in my body so I keep things pretty basic.

Thankfully, the girls are most interested in playing with their cousins than in the type of decorations we have.

Speaking of decorations, let’s talk about what’s decorating my body… I know that’s a bad transition, but just work with me okay?

Lately I’ve been reaching for more oversized silhouettes. After a few years of tucking everything in, it’s been nice to let everything hang loose. I still love the way a tucked in sweater or blouse look, but sometimes it’s much more comfy to wear a baggy sweater with some straight leg jeans.

These jeans were such a “diamond in the rough” pair of jeans for me. They have been one of my most worn items this fall/winter, and I’m certain that will continue through the spring and summer. They’re so comfy and the wash goes with just about everything.

I got this sweater earlier in December after really loving the crewneck version I featured in my fall look book. The V-Neck is much more oversized (I went with a size up for extra room), and less boxy than the crew neck version, but I love that it fills a very specific hole in my closet. Plus, it’s the perfect length for wearing with leggings on days when I’m lounging around the house.

I love how the two look paired together. The loose straight leg with the over sized sweater give a very Sandra Bullock in While you Were Sleeping vibe that I love.

I hope you guys have a great weekend! Let me know what you’re doing in the comments. Are you good at the whole Pinterest party thing? I wish I was ha!

Until next time,
Karin
