How to Style a Mini Skirt for Transitional Weather

Shop the Post

I’ve been wanting to incorporate some fun color and pattern into my wardrobe lately (crazy! I know! See the most recent floral print blouse I found here.) and when I saw this skirt from Madewell I was 100% sold! I’ve always been drawn to red, and the floral pattern has such a 90’s nostalgia to it that I love. It has really cute details like the paper bag waist, and tortoise shell buttons down the front + it’s made of a really silky, lightweight fabric that will be perfect for summer! I have a feeling I will be living in this skirt this summer actually because it IS so breezy. Oh! And did I mention it has pockets?? I’m hooked. I got it in a size small, which is the larger of my two sizes and it fits perfectly. I love pairing it with a graphic tee for a bit of edge and then I threw this jean jacket (wearing a small) on because it was a bit cool this morning. I love the final look!

Also, I wanted to mention that these sandals from Either/Or will be restocked at the end of this month and I do have a discount code for you guys! Use code KARINEMILY10 to get 10% off sitewide. The style that I have is the woven slide in the color Miel, and I would say they run a bit big. They do stretch out over time so I’d size down.

Until next time,

Karin
