Winter Capsule Outfit No. 53: The Importance of Self Care

Winter Capsule Outfit No. 53: The Importance of Self Care Winter Capsule Outfit No. 53: The Importance of Self Care

You guys! I have FOUR posts remaining to share with you after this one!

Can you believe that? Only four posts left before SPRING IS HERE!!

#wishfulthinking

I’ve been thinking about how I’m going to handle the transition to my spring capsule with the weather still as frigid as it is here.

I have some ideas, but what do you guys do when you are transitioning capsules?

I am getting so excited for this spring capsule though!

First, I was able to thrift most of the new additions, and some of those pieces are items I have been looking for, for a long time. Yay!

Second, I recently bleached my hair, got bangs, and got new glasses haha!

So when you see me in my spring pictures I’ll probably look like a different person (if you’re curious now, I will be sharing current pictures on Instagram).

But mostly because I have been feeling more myself in the past few months than I have since I got pregnant with Kit. Something has shifted back into place and I think my spring style will reflect some of that change.

I have started to care less about what people think and I’ve started to focus more on what I like.

But even more than that, I feel like a more complete person than I have in awhile.

I have been fighting for balance and re prioritizing a lot of things in my life (i.e. I almost never watch netflix/tv anymore, which means more time for reading!), I’ve been getting up early, I’ve been eating better and working out…

it’s been really hard to get to this point. My instinct is just to curl on the couch every time I get a chance and zone out… and I did that for most of last year!

But I’m seeing the fruit of that hard work and it feels really good.

I always knew self care was an important thing, but I never realized how important it was until I wasn’t doing it.

I plan to talk more in depth about some of the things I’ve been doing to get healthier (both physically and mentally)… maybe a self care series? Is this something you guys would be interested in? Any topics you’d like me to cover?

Please do! I’m definitely in the snoozing on the couch at every opportunity stage right now.

I start transitioning to spring by bringing in clothes that hint at it, but are still suitable for the weather. Brighter colors, some shoes that aren’t boots, maybe a floral blouse to go under my cardigan…

Finding time for self care is what I really need to know about. I have one child who is 8, so it should be easier. But between my job and my child and my husband, there is rarely time left for me.

Love that slow process! If I didn’t blog about capsule wardrobes, I would do something similar. 🙂

Self care posts would be great! I struggle with consistency so I’d like to hear how other people are making it work.
