DON’T WORRY. I’m not going to inundate your blog viewing for the entire month of August with Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 content. I too get a little tired of all of the posts.
But I do know you guys are interested in my selections based off of a poll I did in my Instagram stories last week (well, okay 40% of you were not interested, so this is for the other 60% ha!), so I thought I would do two posts this year:
My picks, which is what today’s post is, and a slightly different take on a recommendation post:
next week I’ll share a basics only mini capsule wardrobe (kind of like the foundation of a capsule wardrobe) of pieces you can find during the sale.
This sale is a great time to pick up some discounted pieces you may not be able to afford at the regular price, so my hope is that I can steer you in the right direction.
One really great thing that I love about this year’s sale is that you can now preview the sale items on their website. So even though you can’t shop them yet, you can look through them and add them to a wishlist…
which takes away a little bit of the impulsivity of it all right? You can add stuff to a wishlist now, and then revisit it in a couple of weeks without that initial “buzz” that sales can give.
Oh and one thing I want to add: I’ve heard from some people that they fell under the “influence” of the Nordstrom sale last year and bought really low quality pieces from influencers who were sharing them.
I just want to clarify with you guys that I’m not here to push low quality pieces. I did my best to locate items from brands I’ve tried out in the past that I’ve had good luck with (there’s a few odd exceptions, but only a few) so that my recommendations aren’t just for pieces that “look” cute. I want to help you find pieces that will last a long time in your wardrobe.
