New in at Everlane: Sock Boots, Fleece, and Corduroy

I’m going to keep this intro brief because I may go into labor at any point as I write this (if you’re new to my blog, I’m 38.5 weeks pregnant with a baby boy), and I want to make sure I’m able to hit publish and get this into your hands.

Why?

There have been SO many good releases this month and I wanted to give you a peek into what’s new at Everlane for September. I’m sharing the pieces that stood out to me the most, and I think you’ll love as well.

I’m still going to review each piece I have for you guys, but I’m going to do it in bullet list form. K?

Let’s get to it!

For your reference: my pre pregnancy size was a S/4 and I wear a size 9 Shoe… I’m 5’5″ and I weighed between 130-140 lbs.

The Glove Boot ReKnit in Toffee, Size 9:

The Glove Boot comes in 5 colors (black, brown, white, red, and blue), sizes 5-11, and retails for $155.

Thoughts:

• SO comfy. Soft, stretchy, but yet they hug your foot in a super supportive way. They are a true sock boot.
• The heel is easy to walk in. It’s a nice stacked heel so it’s very supportive, and it doesn’t dig into your heel after a few hours of walking.
• True to size, but if you want to wear them with thick socks then size up.
• The ribbed detail on the fabric (which is recycled polyester) is a really nice touch. It makes them look more luxe than some of the neoprene versions I’ve seen out there.
• The material is thick enough that I’m not worried about it stretching out.
• These should fit a wide variety of ankle sizes because the fabric is stretchy. It stays snug, but there’s definitely room for the boots to give quite a bit.

The Silky Cotton Lantern Top in Golden Palm, Size 4

The Silky Cotton Lantern Top comes in 5 colors (off white, terracotta, yellow, black, and blue), sizes 00-16, and retails for $55

Thoughts:

First of all, this isn’t technically a new release, but I just got it in and loved it so I wanted to share.

• The yellow color is a really pretty sunshine, golden color. It’s not mustard or a true bright yellow.
• The balloon sleeve is a nice subtle version of the trend, and there’s a really pretty decorative seam, and pleating around the cuff that give the shirt a little bit more interest.
• The v-neck should work for most bust sizes. It’s not too deep, but it’s deep enough to show off your collarbones. Plus you have the option to unbutton if you want a little more va va voom.
• It hits me at about hip level. For long torsoed ladies, I would suggest ordering a tall because I am very short torsoed.
• The sleeves hit about six inches above my wrists so it’s technically more of a 3/4 length sleeve.
• The buttons are nice and thick so they shouldn’t chip or break.
• It’s true to size. I ordered my normal size 4 and it fits perfectly.

The Corduroy Chore Jacket in Pink, Size XS

The Corduroy Chore Jacket comes in 3 colors (for some reason, my blush color is not currently on the website, but it comes in navy, off white, and a mustardy brown color), sizes XXS to XL, and retails for $75

Thoughts:

• The jacket hits me right at my hips, and has a boxier fit.
• The sleeves hit just below my wrists.
• The corduroy is thin enough that the sleeves roll up easily, but it’s not thin enough to be considered a “shacket.” I would say it’s as thin as a lightweight denim jacket.
• I like the monochrome buttons. It lends to a more minimal design which I appreciate.
• It’s a medium width corduroy so the texture of the fabric really stands out, even from a distance.
• I sized down to an XS, and the fit is perfect. If you want to fit bulkier sweaters underneath stay true to size.

Eco Teddy Fleece Liner in Oatmeal, Size XS

The Eco Teddy Fleece Liner comes in three colors (navy, oatmeal, and rust), sizes XXS-XL, and retails for $68.

Thoughts:

• It has a boxier fit, and hits right at hip level.
• The nice edging detail and monochrome buttons make it look a bit dressier than your average fleece jacket. It’s marketed as a liner, but I think it would be nice worn like a blazer type jacket.
• It’s lightweight, but it is warm. It’s perfect for layering, but it would also work as a lightweight jacket in cooler weather.
• It’s a thin fleece so it would work layered under a bulkier coat to lend extra warmth for those really cold days.
• The sleeves are a bit long. They hit me right above my thumbs.
• It has nice, big decorative pockets which I think really elevate the overall look of the jacket.
• I sized down to an XS. Again, if you plan to wear bulkier sweaters underneath I would stay true to size.
