I have now owned my Birkenstock Arizona sandals for a little over two years so I thought I would do a quick little review for you guys today! I’ll be honest, I held off on ordering Birkenstock’s for the longest time because I was nervous how my VERY flat feet would do with such an arch support friendly shoe… and I wish I wouldn’t have been so cautious! My Birkenstock Arizona sandals are, hands down, my most worn/favorite pair of sandals ever. Even with my very flat feet they are still super comfortable and easy to walk in. I can wear them for an entire day without getting sore feet! They have held up amazingly well over the last couple of years, and still look great albeit perfectly worn in. I honestly think everyone needs a pair of Birkenstock’s in their life, and I love/recommend the taupe color of mine because it’s so classic and will never go out of style. I know I will have these sandals for a very long time! In terms of sizing, I wear a size US 9 and I typically wear a 40 in European sizes, but in Birkenstock’s I wear a 39 and that’s true of the Birkenstock Arizona’s so I’d recommend sizing down a half size.

Okay that’s all I’ve got! I hope you enjoyed this little mini review of my Birkenstock Arizona sandals. Are you a Birkenstock fan? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

Karin

Love mine too. The only problem I have is they get big in AC! Cold feet make my feet shrink I guess. Solution is head outside where it’s 88*! Ugh but my shoes don’t wiggle!

Love my Birks! Just replaced mine after 5 years if intense wear. I have to wear shoes inside so I wear these all year round at home and out in summer months. They are expensive but so worth it!

I’m a huge fan of birkenstocks in general. I have to say, however, that the soft footbed version of the Arizonas is more comfortable (I think the regular version is also great just not as comfy as the soft footbed). That being said, the gizeh stay on my feet better than the arizona but they are both great. OK: Arizona Shearlings in fall/winter are BEYOND amazing. So cozy and supportive. I have a pair to wear indoors (pale grey with light shearling) and a pair I wear outdoors (navy on navy so less likely to show dirt) which keep your feet surprisingly warm if you are just in and out of the car/store/etc at temps in the upper 30s and 40s.

That’s good to know! I’ve only tried the Arizona’s, but I agree they are very soft! I did just order a pair of shearling clogs and I’m excited to have those in the rotation this winter!

I am a big fan of Birkenstock. I can’t walk in anything else without pain. Birkenstock is the only way for me to walk.

I actually ordered a pair of the Birkenstock gizeh today in the pretty pearl color! It’s the first time I’m purchasing Birkenstock so I’m excited to try them since I have extremely flat feet. Is there a break-in period? I’m wondering if I should just wear them a few hours a day when I first get them. Thanks for any advice!

Hi Debbie! I didn’t have a break in period with mine, but I suppose it depends on your feet!

For over 20 years, I have owned the Gizeh sandals and Boston by Birkenstock. I just acquired my first pair of Arizona this past weekend. Like you, I have very flat feet and for some reason, Birkenstock are the best for my feet. I have very narrow feet which is in part why I always wore Gizeh, was pleasantly surprised to find that Arizona are just as great.
