Outfit Details:
Hello and happy Friday! This post is going to be very brief and to the point. Today is the first day of spring break for my girls and it’s been a bit coo coo over here ha! In fact, I am currently writing this from a McDonald’s play place, and while things are currently going well, I know it’s very possible that we are minutes away from needing to leave as fast as possible 🤪
There are some really nice things on the Everlane website right now, but I also find a lot of their pieces this past year to have become a bit too structural for me. I have always appreciated their classic bent, but more and more their classics seems to have twists that don’t really fit my vibe (like cropped lengths or bright colors). But I did find a few things this spring I did want to share with you guys so let’s get into it shall we?
First off, the first three things I wanted to show you, I’ve actually already reviewed so I will direct you to those blog posts. My jeans, I just added to my Everlane denim guide here, my trench I already reviewed (albeit in another print) here, and my ballet prints I reviewed in my spring shoe line up here.
So really, we’re focusing on the sweater that I’m wearing that you can’t even see a photo of, because this photo shoot was cut short by a truck that pulled up with a couple that were eyeing us so suspiciously and with so much anger I swear they were going to get aggressive 😳. So I took a selfie for you guys:
I just really love the oversized fit of this sweater and the fine knit. I’ve never loved Everlane’s chunkier cotton knits, but this one feels so luxe and soft. It feels like something Jenni Kayne would make to be honest, but at a much better price point ( I’ve been a little over that brand lately since price points have gone up even MORE with the popularity of the brand. I find it annoying… but I digress). This is just a really good, classic cotton sweater but the loose fit is very on trend. I always, always size up to a medium in sweaters and I did the same here. Highly recommend this one!
Well that’s all I can manage for today! Thank God for play places. 😉 I hope you found these reviews helpful, and I hope you have the best weekends!
Until next time,
Karin
Thank you for your review! First, yes on the cropped everything and weird colors at Everlane lately. This is still my go to brand, but lately I look at the new arrivals each week and think, is this a joke? The linen barrel pants? Oy. And really the entire canvas collection. At the same time, the striped easy pants and new organic wide leg pants are lovely. It is very hit or miss. On this sweater, I owned an earlier version of this item and had to donate to goodwill after the waistband completely stretched out with wear. It was disappointing as I love the weight of the sweater, cut and color. Let us know if the same happens with this year’s version.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels the same way Kelly! And I’ll definitely keep you posted! I’ve actually had it for a little while and washed it a few times and so far so good!
