Happy Friday my friends! This has been a crazy and very unproductive week for us here ha! The first two days of the week were planned days off for our school, and Wednesday and Thursday were snow days. Thankfully it wasn’t super frigid so at least the kids were able to play outside or I think we all would have gone a little crazy!

So since we had a week full of snow I thought I’d talk about spring shoes today ha! I haven’t had as much seasonal itch as I usually do this year… I mean YES I can’t wait for warm weather, but I’m also just really content knowing it’s just around the corner. In January, I muted most of the warm climate bloggers I follow so I don’t have to watch spring unfolding for them months before it does up here and it has REALLY helped. It seems silly to think that it could make that much of a difference, but it really is hard to see someone else’s world turning colorful while you’re still indefinitely buried under a mountain of snow. So anyway, there’s a little tip for you. 😉

With that said, today’s post is more of a spring shoes I can’t wait to wear since it will be some time before I can actually wear some of these. About half of these are older shoes and half are new and I only included shoes you can still get your hands on so this isn’t an exhaustive list of all the shoes I love to wear for spring (although it’s actually almost all of them). So okay! Let’s get to it!

Two Tone Flats (TTS)

You guys know how much I wear and love these. I literally wear them multiple times a week and I love and adore them. I find these to be very comfortable, but they do rub a little if you’re going to be wearing them all day while being on your feet so these are more typically what I reach for when I’ll be doing moderate amounts of walking. I just love how classic these are and I honestly think these could go with any outfit you might throw together. I’ve even worn them with a sweatshirt and jean and instantly felt more chic.

Brown Ballet Flats (TTS)

I’ve actually had these flats for years now… but in black. I was so sad when they discontinued this style because they are SO comfortable and the style is so classic, but the square toe makes them just a bit more modern. Was it last year (?) that they released them again, but in a bunch of weird colors. Boo. I’ve been waiting patiently and just recently they came out with this more neutral brown color so I jumped on them! These will be perfect for spring… I HIGHLY prefer these to the regular day glove. SO much more comfortable and the bow just makes them more flattering for some reason.

Two Tone Slingback Flats (gifted. run 1/2 size big)

I literally gasped out loud when I saw these in the new spring collection. They are visual perfection! I say visual because I haven’t had a chance to actually wear them yet so I can’t speak to their comfort level… although I will say that they felt really comfortable when I tried them on. I didn’t feel like the strap would rub or dig in, but I can’t say that with 100% confidence. Still, these flats will look so chic with a basic tee and jeans or with all of the lady cardigans that are so stylish this spring. I think they’ll look so sweet with spring dresses as well.

Fisherman Flats (gifted. TTS)

These are also new this spring so again I can’t really speak to the comfort level, although based on my experience with other Freda Salvador shoes I can say they will most likely be extremely comfortable right out of the gate (they feel like they will be). I have been eyeing these sandals since last summer and I’m so glad I finally have them… they are just such a perfect sandal for spring and summer in a slightly trendy style that still reads like a classic. And this color is just the perfect neutral that will go with everything. They’re mostly sold out, but I noticed that sizes seem to come and go so if you had your eyes on them just keep checking back! Nude Ballet Flats (go down a 1/2 size if in between sizes)

These are the best ballet flats in my opinion! They are so soft and comfortable! While I wouldn’t wear the two tone flats for a long day of being on my feet, I would wear these. They don’t rub or pinch at all and they feel supportive enough for my (albeit flat) feet so they stay comfortable. Plus the leather is so soft that they just feel really nice to wear. They also come in a ton of colors!

Ballet Flat Mules (TTS)

THESE mules! Doen can do no wrong in my opinion and this pair of ballet mules from their latest spring collection proves the point. I just love how wonderfully feminine everything they make is and these flats instantly add a touch of girly to the more masculine silhouettes that are in style right now. I wore them recently with a pair of pleated trousers and I loved the contrast. But I also think they’ll look great with pretty spring dresses as well! These are not as comfortable as my beloved Doen Mary Janes that I wear constantly (which I didn’t share in this post because they are no longer available), but I would say they are medium comfort. I definitely wouldn’t wear these if I knew I was going to be on my feet for a long time, but for church or a date night they’re great.

Canvas Sneakers (TTS)

You guys know these are my go to sneakers for spring and summer. I just love the slightly retro feel to them and that they truly do go with everything whether it’s a tee and jeans, a dress, shorts, trousers, etc. They also are very much a neutral sneaker, but the gum sole gives them just the right amount of interest for them to still look different and cool. It’s funny though because for me these are not the most comfy sneakers… but I think it’s just because of my flat feet. They have a pretty high arch support in them so I think if you need that you’d love these. For me, after a few hours of wearing them, my feet ache from being forced into that arched shape. Still, I love them and think they are great for casual wear.

Leather Sneakers (gifted. go up a size)

I got these sneakers last fall and I am SO glad I did! They are one of the comfiest pairs of casual sneakers I own. The leather and gold hardware makes them look just a little bit more elevated as well and I find that they just make any outfit look good. I think these sneakers will look really good with skirts and dresses this spring and I also love pairing them with floor skimming trousers. They’re just such a classic pair of trousers that I think anyone would love in their closet.

Well that’s all I’ve got for you guys today! I hope you enjoyed this little peak into my spring shoe collection! Fingers crossed we all get to wear our spring shoes sooner than later. I hope you all have amazing weekends!

Until next time,

Karin

I loved this! And I love everything you share! I live in MN, too, so it’s great following someone who knows that spring doesn’t come until May. Ha!

I’ve had my eye on the Novesta sneakers for about three years now. Did you have luck with sizing from End (with men’s sizing taken into account). Any tips?

I wish it wasn’t true but it is ha! I’m always a 7 in men’s shoes and that’s the size I went with!
