Happy Friday friends! I’m going to be that person right now that bemoans how fast the summer is passing us by because how is it almost August?? I even took stock of the kids’ fall and winter clothing today so I can start perusing the back to school sales. What?! This year I’m torn between being ready for the girls to be in school (it’ll just be me and Gabe at home this year, which I’m really looking forward to!), and wanting summer to last forever.
Anyway, even though school is just around the corner, realistically we still have a couple months of hot weather to enjoy. I wanted to get this post up earlier in the summer, but I’m actually glad I waited a little while because it’s given me time to really live with my sandal collection and choose the best of the best to share with you guys. And even better: a lot of the sandals I chose are styles that come back year after year so this post will be relevant in future summers.

The Flat Sandal from Margaux – These have been my most worn, favorite pair of sandals this summer… they’re also the most expensive, but my cost for wear has definitely evened out. They are the perfect pair of minimal brown sandals while still being super comfortable and easy to wear. I love the feminine ankle strap and the subtle stitching. Plus, the quality is impeccable… definitely worth the investment. True to size.

The Dress Sandal from Either/Or (gifted)
I love a good pair of strappy sandals and this pair from Either/Or have been a very loved pair of sandals this summer. They came at a perfect time because my old pair of Nisolos strappy sandals are really starting to wear out and these are a great option to replace them. Again, the quality is beautiful and the company is one of my absolute faves. They are always such a treat to work with! I have had these sandals for at least 5 years? Maybe longer? They are my most worn pair of black sandals and weirdly enough they are my most comfortable. The reason I say weirdly is that they don’t have any sort of support built in, but I can go on really long walks or have these on for a day on my feet and they keep my feet happy. I just love the classic style and that they will never go out of style + they are waterproof so they will last for a really long time. I adore them! They run a tad bit big.

Ah. The Birkenstocks. No sandal roundup is complete without them. A couple of summers ago I lived in these sandals, and while my ardor has cooled just a bit I still reach for these regularly. They just go with everything and you really can’t go wrong with them… plus they are dang comfortable. I truly think everyone needs a pair of Arizonas in their closet. They do run a full size big so size down.

The Boardwalk Fisherman Sandal from Madewell
There is nothing more classic than a pair of brown slide sandals and this pair from Madewell is just perfection. The weave is beautiful, the color is the perfect shade of brown, and they stay on really well. Another pair of sandals that just go with literally everything and a style that will never go out of style. True to size.

Arthur Sandals from Sezane (gifted)
These are definitely the most “statement” pair of sandals that I own, but I do love the punch of color they add to an outfit. As you guys can tell, I love a good wrap sandal, but I love that these are a bit different with the chunkier braided straps. They’re also really comfy! True to size.

The Leilah Sandal from Madewell
When it come to chunky sandals I’m a bit picky. I obviously have a much more feminine style so a lot of chunkier shoes really just don’t work for me and my style. But the color of these… it’s such a pretty, soft color and it downplays the utilitarian aspect of a chunky shoe. So I get a softer version plus I get the comfort of a great pair of practical sandals. True to size.
