I’m going to be honest with you… it’s been a week. Kit has been teething and she has a diaper rash that is pretty intense. Plus I started out with what I thought was the stomach flu and now I feel like I have a head cold. Β Not to complain… but I’m gonna. Β So. I think my hair is on day four of not being washed in these pictures, but instead of fighting it I decided to channel the Parisians’ way of natural hair and complete the look with navy and black. I mean, when in Rome (or Paris) right? There are some days when things just don’t go according to plan and all you can do is survive. I’m learning that being sick when you’re a mom is not a walk in the park… it’s not like you can take a sick day right?! So I’m taking a sick day from blogging and I’m going to save the deep thoughts Β for next week. Forgive me please? David and I will be spending our weekend pricing out updates to our house. We’re planning on selling in the next 6 or so months and we just met with a realtor. Oh man. It’s so overwhelming! Have any of you moved recently? Any advice for us? Let me know in the comments below! And if you feel like spending your weekend pulling a capsule wardrobe together don’t forget to subscribe so you can get my free capsule wardrobe planner!

Until next time,

Love those shoes! Sorry its been a week, but Friday is HERE! Maybe you can get some extra zzzzzzz’s this weekend! We moved last year and while it was a challenge (I just had my 3rd baby, we were living with my parents, trying to sell our house, etc!) it was TOTALLY worth it! We love our new home and everything about it! I have had so much fun “restarting” and redecorating and while it was a lot of work, its been worth it! Cant wait to see how everything goes for yall! xoxo, Lauren

Haha thanks Kal! I mean there are copious amounts of dry shampoo in it so I think even if I was in a hurricane it probably wouldn’t move. πŸ˜‰

Black and a good pair of sunnies fix just about everything don’t they? Love it.

Moving house? Will be MADNESS but worth it. Accept now that all things “normal” are off the table. Car naps. No naps. Bedtime showings. All shall pass. Have plenty of ideas for where to go and what to do for an hour or two. With five minutes notice. Box non-essentials and either store neatly in basement or shed or get a temp
storage. House looks larger, less to clean up for showings and you’re moving anyway right?!? πŸ™‚

They absolutely do! I didn’t EVEN THINK ABOUT NAP TIME! AGH!! haha. Oh well… I probably need a lesson in flexibility right?! I love your idea to box non-essentials. I am all about having less to clean! πŸ™‚

I dig the navy on black! Good luck with the house updates and moving! We own a place that we rent out (currently living on the other side of the state temporarily) and plan to list it in February…I’m already dreading the hassle that that is going to be. Oh and I just signed up for your capsule planning guide πŸ™‚ Working on my 4th capsule but I’m feeling a little uninspired (crazy because I LOVE fall!).
