Transitional Spring Outfits: Wearing Your Spring Dresses Now

This time of year I am constantly finding ways to infuse a bit of spring into my wardrobe.

Even though it’s still pretty cold here I can’t help myself! It helps this time of year feel a bit more hopeful if I can put on a pretty spring dress and pretend that spring is right around the corner.

My favorite way to start incorporating spring dresses into my wardrobe is to layer them with tights and boots and warm sweaters and cropped jackets. I even like to throw on a scarf to add a bit of extra warmth if needed.

We had a bit of a warmup recently (even though it wasn’t enough to make the snow melt), and it felt so refreshing to throw on this long sleeve spring dress with a warm cardigan and pair of booties! I was still warm enough for the weather, but my spirits were lifted with the change up from my typical jeans, sweater, and boots. It’s funny how such a little shift in my routine can make such a big difference in my mood!
