For some reason, I haven’t been as into skirts these past couple of years as I was in the past… I mean we all remember when those jersey maxi skirts were the thing to be wearing right? That’s probably the last time I really reached for my skirts on a regular rotation.

The last couple of summers I’ve really loved my cupro skirt from It is Well, and have worn that over and over, but this year I’m really leaning into maxi skirts again… but this time nixing the jersey material for more silky feeling materials, pleats, texture, colors, etc.

This brightly colored skirt is from Sezane’s spring collections and it is a vibrant beauty! AKA not something I would normally go for, but for some reason it was calling my name. I love the retro vibes of the print and the pleating and thought it would be the perfect statement piece for warmer weather to be dressed up or down. This is how I would probably wear it most days, but it would be so cute with a white blouse and espadrilles for a date night!

It’s made of the softest floatiest material and even though it’s lined, the fabric is light enough that you can wear it on hot days. I find Sezane sizing to be a bit all over the place, but I went for my normal size 4 and it fits perfectly.

I thought this turquoise tank top was the perfect way to bring out the turquoise in the skirt, but now that I have this tank top I will be ordering it in other colors! It’s the perfect staple tank top. The fit, quality, and material are really nice and I love the square neckline. I went for my normal size in this one (small) as well.

I thought I’d round up some of my other favorite maxi skirts for spring and summer. They are such an easy way to dress for summer, and they always pack a punch in the style department:

Well that’s all I’ve got for you guys today! Do you love maxi skirts like I do? Did you ever participate in the jersey maxi skirt trend?

Until next time,

Karin
