Can you believe I’m wrapping up a year of capsules? I can’t!
So much has changed in this year of capsuling…
I grew into my new role as mama, We listed our house and are planning a move, I discovered a new, more sustainable lifestyle. I don’t feel like the same person that I was when I started last June.
Honestly? A lot of the positive changes in my life are due to learning to live with less.
This journey has just started for me and I don’t see it ending any time soon.
Now. Onto my spring recap.
I really felt like I’ve figured out my formula with this capsule. Everything flowed so much better and I felt like I had a good mix to work with all kinds of scenarios.
I do still feel like I was working with far more than I actually needed. Those last few items can somehow become like a security blanket for me, but I’ll be ripping that band-aid off for my summer capsule. It’s a learning curve right?
Now here’s my confession for you: I did a terrible job of taking outfit pictures for this capsule. If you’ve been following me at all, you’ll know that life just kind of caught up with me.
But I still wanted to do some sort of wrap up collage for you so I created this image that’s just about three months of outfits from my 40 capsule items. I hope it’s helpful for you!

Wow! This visual is amazing! I’m working on building my summer capsule, and I’m hoping to be at least half way finished with putting it together in less than two weeks. I think I finally have a successful formula to build a wardrobe that I will love and will function for all events!

I don’t even think I DO capsules anymore! My year round closet just sort of stays in my.. closet.. and I add or subtract as needed. I do find that, since I don’t have actual “capsules” I *want* to shop. But I don’t.. which is why I want to, lol. Budget hasn’t really been there for it also, so that helps (?). And I did add a couple of items to my warm weather selection this year.. and I don’t think I can be done yet. I need some breezier pieces for sure! And awesome image!!
