Yesterday was our first day back to reality! David had a couple of weeks off over the Holidays so we were able to spend a little bit of downtime as a family in between all of the festivities.

We just had preschool, but then we decided to meet my sister for lunch. Ella has been going through her naked phase, and apparently that extends to Chick Fil A play places as well. She was halfway to stripping down before I caught her and made her put her clothes back on. Ha! She’s such a little free spirit. She couldn’t be more different than Rosie and Kit, but I love her independence and individuality.

With all of the downtime we had over the last few weeks, I’ve found myself reaching for more loungy type clothing… and now that we’re leaving the house again (we literally didn’t leave for about a week) I’ve had a hard time breaking that habit.

When I’m craving comfortable clothing like this, there’s nothing better than a soft sweatshirt paired with jeans and comfy shoes. It looks a bit more pulled together than joggers or leggings, but it’s just as comfy.

The key is to keep the sweatshirt in the crew neck (or fitted hoodie) territory, and pair the more casual base with some cool accessories.

You can get away with some seriously pajamaesque outfits with those simple tips.

This black sweatshirt is one of the softest things I have ever put on my body. I can’t bring myself to put it in the wash because I want to put it on at the end of every day.

I love how it looks paired with my favorite vintage Levi’s, and the Everlane Day Gloves (review here). I actually almost sold this pair, but I’m glad I held onto them. I kind of underestimated them because of how basic they are, but I’ve been wearing them a lot lately for that exact reason.

Do you have a uniform you reach for on days you want to feel extra cozy?

Until next time,

Karin
