Hey guys! You may have noticed that I was a bit quiet around here this week.
I shared more on Instagram, but for those of you who aren’t on Instagram:
Last week was a rough week for me. I quit pumping a couple of weeks ago and my body had a hard time handling the shift in hormones… it was rough.
The girls and I were all sick.
And then I found out my grandfather passed away.
I just needed some time to gather my thoughts and rest.
I wasn’t planning on posting today, but then I realized the Fall 10×10 Challenge hosted by Caroline and Lee starts today and I very last minute decided to join in!
I won’t be posting about it regularly on here next week, because I already have some (very exciting!) posts planned, but I’ll be sharing outfits on Instagram/Instagram Stories and then I’ll do a big wrap up post the following Monday.
But I just wanted to hop on here real quick and share with you my picks.
I’m keeping things pretty simple as you can see, but I picked pieces that I know will work well for my life while still helping me feel a bit… spicy. *wink wink
A few notes about two of the pieces I included:
The black overalls: they are new. Real talk here: I had thrifted that denim pair of overalls because I wanted to try out the overall trend. They were Old Navy brand and, honestly? They weren’t that nice. They slouched awkwardly, the denim was scratchy… they looked cute, but that was about it.
Lesson learned? You should still only purchase quality, even if you’re thrifting. I ended up trading them for these Loup Overalls. Much higher quality, much more comfortable.
The striped tee: this top was not in my capsule originally (it was in my summer capsule), but I ended up pulling it back in because I was craving a true stripe in my closet. And you know what? That’s what capsuling in real life looks like. Flexibility and adaptability!
Okay! That’s it! What about you guys? Are you doing it? Would you like to join in? If you are curious about the specifics head over to Caroline or Lee’s blogs to read more. You can also check out my spring challenge posts here and here.
Until next time,
