Summer to Fall Transitional Pieces from Revolve

Happy Friday my friends –

We’ve had another heat wave come through this week which means we were in some form of water all week… I never thought I’d say this, but all four of my kids LOVE the water (our girls all went through very long phases where they hated water) which makes any sort of water activity a popular event in our house ha! I’m hoping for a sunset swim at our local swimming pond tonight, but we’ll see how the afternoon goes.

It’s crazy to think we only have a few short weeks left of summer, it’s seemed to go by so fast this year… I’m excited for fall, but this year I’ve really been soaking in these late summer days. There’s something so magical about the end of the summer when everything is winding down and ramping up all at the same time.

I’ve been starting to think about my fall wardrobe a little bit more these last few weeks, which means I’m firmly in the stage where I’m thinking about how my summer pieces will transition to fall. I don’t like to have too many pieces that are strictly kept to one season, and I’m a big believer in getting use out of warmer weather pieces for as long as possible with strategic layering and pairings.

I’m happy to be collaborating with Revolve on today’s post – they have a lot of really good summer to fall transitional pieces in right now and I’ve got a roundup of my favorites to share with you today.

SO let’s get to the summer to fall transitional pieces from Revolve:

Blouse (Gifted. TTS) | Denim (TTS. Review here) | Sandals (TTS) | Bag | Sunglasses | Earrings

This blouse is a stunner! It’s made of a beautiful 100% cotton gauze material, and the detailing on it is just perfect. I love the gathered puff sleeves, the button down front, and the versatility of the neckline (it can be worn off the shoulder as well). The color is also a really beautiful creamy ivory color. It’s so pretty paired with a pair of crisp white denim, but it would be really pretty with blue or black denim as well. I think it would be perfect worn off the shoulder with a slimmer pair of jeans and a pair of heels for a date night.

It runs true to size. I am between an XS and a small and I went for a small.

Ruffle Hem Tee (Gifted. Runs Small) | Denim (Gifted. Runs 1 Size Small) | Sandals (Gifted. TTS) | Necklace (Gifted) | Bag

I am in LOVE with this ruffle hem tee! It’s so, so sweet, but it still translates as a basic. The square neckline and the cropped fit make it perfect for pairing with a pair of high waisted jeans, plus the cotton blend fabric has a slight rib detail to it, and it is silky soft. And even though the fabric is silky, it doesn’t show bras lines.

It runs a little small so I’d go up a size.

The jeans are a really great pair of classic denim jeans. The 100% cotton is more of a rigid denim, but they are still really comfortable. They have a great high rise fit, and the cropped length is perfect on my 5’5″ frame. The wash is also a perfect transitional wash – it’s the perfect medium wash that works year round.

They run a bit small and since they are a non stretch denim I’d go up one size.

Sweater (Gifted. Runs big) | Shorts (Gifted. TTS) | Sandals (TTS) | Bag | Sunglasses | Necklace (Gifted. Use Code HEYKARINEMILY to get 15% off)

This sweater is such a pretty soft blue color. I actually gasped when I pulled it out of the box! It’s a super soft cotton blend that feels incredibly luxe. I love the oversized fit and the deep v-neck. It looks so pretty and casual worn off the shoulder. It’s just that perfect, effortless vibe that I always want in my clothing.

It’s supposed to fit oversized so I went with a small, but if you want it a little more fitted I’d size down.

These shorts are another great piece – they feel incredibly well made. The linen is the GOOD kind of linen… you know what I mean right? Good linen is soft, has some weight to it and when it wrinkles it looks perfectly casual and effortless. These shorts are made of that kind of linen. They’re also not super short or super long so they’re a great length for pretty much anyone. They actually have a paper bag waist, but I kind of love wearing them with a slouchy top.

They run true to size. I’m wearing a size small.

Blouse (Gifted. Runs Small) | Denim (Older wash so I linked similar. Run Small – Size up 2 sizes) | Sunglasses | Headband | Sandals (TTS) | Bag

This blouse is so sweet and pretty! I’ve really been leaning into a more feminine silhouette this summer and this blouse is pretty much as feminine and sweet as you can get. The ruffle and puff sleeve + the floral print is so pretty, and I love that the floral print is in a very muted color palette. the print is golden yellow and sage green and because it’s a bit more of a fall palette it will work really well going into fall. Because it is so sweet I like it paired with a pair of distressed denim to give a little balance.

The top does run a bit small in the arms so I’d size up to have a little extra room. The cinch at the waist will make up for any extra room in the torso.

Dress (gifted – go with your smaller size) | Sandals (TTS) | Bag | Sunglasses

Speaking of feminine silhouettes, this dress makes me want to step into a Jane Austen novel ha! (it’d be Persuasion for me – which one would you want to step into?). It’s SO over the top feminine and I love it SO much! I’ve seen a lot of smocked/puff sleeve dresses floating around the last couple of years, but what I love about this one is that it’s in a dark, muted color palette. It’s a black and dark gray stripe and it’s so pretty paired with the frilly details. I also love that it can be worn off the shoulder AND that it has pockets. Plus the quality is stunning – it’s made incredibly well and feels really beautiful to wear.

It runs pretty true to size, but if you are in between sizes I’d go with your smaller size.

Top (Gifted. TTS) | Denim (Gifted. Runs 1 Size Small) | Heels (Gifted. TTS) | Bag | Necklace (Gifted. Use Code HEYKARINEMILY to get 15% off)

I wanted to mix things up a bit with something a bit more sexy, and this little black top is exactly that! I love that it’s subtle, but with the neckline and fit it just gives you a bit of something extra… it’s the perfect date night top. I love it paired with denim and chunky heels, but I think it would look beautiful tucked into a silky skirt as well. The material is more of a sweater type material and there is a ribbed detail to it that you can’t see in the photos.

It runs true to size so stick with your regular size.

Well that’s all I’ve got for you guys today! I hope you enjoyed a peek into some of my favorite summer to fall transitional outfits from Revolve. I also hope you are able to soak up these last few days of summer and get as much out of the last bits of warm weather that you can!

Until next time,

Karin

It’s so funny because I would never ever think to buy any of those pieces from Revolve because the models/way they style them on their site does not do those pieces justice at all! You rock them all and really bring them to life/show how to incorporate them into everyday style!!

Ah thank you Sam! I agree that it’s not easy to see how things really look on the models, but that’s what I’m here for!
