I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, one of the best parts of having a capsule wardrobe is the packing! It’s just so dang easy knowing that you can throw anything into your suitcase and know that it will work together.

And you know what? The older Kit gets, the more I need it to be quick and easy. Packing for this trip turned into a game of how many things can I pull out of mommy’s bag before she gets to me.

Fun.

So I just threw in a handful of tops, a couple of shoes, and a pair of jeans and called it good… though I did forget my hiking shoes… whoops!

That and my ready to go toiletry bag (a bag that I keep full of travel sized toiletries and makeup so all I have to do is throw it in my bag and go), and a few miscellaneous items and I was ready for our long weekend in less than an hour.

Done and done.

More time to focus on the trip and less time preparing for it? I’d call that a win!

  1. Very chic! Still, I love my colors and don’t think I could wear black/ neutrals like this four days in a row. There’s definitely something to be said for packing light, though.

    1. I am definitely a neutral gal, but I think you could do something similar, but just do three colorful tops with a pair of neutral pants. I think the formula still works!
