2017 Stay at Home Mom Summer Capsule Wardrobe

Happy Monday! I’m pretty excited to share this post today with you for two reasons:

First: because it’s my first “real capsule” since last summer! It feels so good to be back at it again!

And Second: I’m including my very first YouTube video!

There actually was quite a lot of explaining to do for this summer capsule and I thought it would probably be way easier to just sit down and say it to you rather than writing it all out. Plus, I’ve been wanting to start doing more videos for you guys and I thought this was the perfect way to start.

You’ll have to let me know what you think (and if you like what you see, don’t forget to subscribe to my channel!)… it’s super poor quality because I have no idea what I’m doing (I mean blogging is my first love after all) and I say way too many “ums,” but hopefully I get my point across!

So without making this post tooo long, let’s jump right into the video!

Well what do you think? I’m really happy with this capsule, as I said in the video, and I’m excited to see myself put it into action (that might sound odd, but I don’t always know if it’s going to work until I start actually wearing the clothing).

Finally, here are the links to the clothes that I included (or similar links where the items aren’t available).

Have you guys done a summer capsule this year? I’d love to hear what some of your favorite pieces are and how many items you ended up with! Did you include shoes and jackets? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time,

Perfect timing! I just started putting together a capsule for summer myself (as I don’t have much choice since I get one and half suitcases for ALL the things I need while the rest of my house makes the slow boat trip from London to Seattle. Capsule wardrobe for the win.) I really hope I can a) settle on 30-40 items (since it’ll about 90 days I need to cover), and fit it all in my suitcase with cosmetics, books, toiletries etc.

I like the video aspect! It’s nice to see and hear someone. From now on I’ll be able to ‘read’ your blog in your voice.

That’s so cool that you’re taking a trip like that! It sounds so fun! It’ll be cool to see how your capsule ends up working for you. 🙂 I’m so glad you like the video! I’m hoping to make more of them so it’s nice to hear that you enjoyed it!

Loved the video! As always, you amaze me and make me smile. Your summer Capsule looks perfect, so excited to see what you do with it. I just moved, so I have not started putting together my capsule yet. This post is perfect motivation to get started

Thanks girl! I totally get not having time to do a capsule when moving. That’s how I was last fall.

I love that you are doing videos now! I cannot wait until my wardrobe flows together as well as yours does!
