A Week of Outfits: Transitional Summer to Fall Outfits

Let’s talk shop for a moment. Now that I’m closer to my due date, (only 12 days to go!) I’ve decided to just go ahead and pre schedule content to the end of September.

What that means? You’ll still see posts for a few weeks whether baby comes or not… so I may look pregnant on here even if I’m not anymore in real life.

After that I’ll be taking a maternity leave for an undetermined amount of time. I haven’t set an amount ahead of time because I just want to wait and see how I feel after he comes.

And I’m still not sure exactly how I’m going to announce his arrival to all of you lovely readers, but it will most likely be exclusively on social media until I’m done taking a break on here (then I’ll most likely do some sort of birth story post)… if you’re not already following me, you can find me on Instagram and Facebook.

Okay. I think that’s everything I wanted to discuss. Let’s get into the outfits from this past week. Be prepared to see a lot of transitional summer to fall outfits!

Details about this outfit:

This jumpsuit is finally done. I really struggled to get it over my bump when I put it on, and I don’t want to rip any seams on it as it’s one of my favorite pieces. Still, it’s been a faithful little piece this entire pregnancy, and I’m thankful for it’s ability to make me feel like a stylish walrus (I’m joking). I do love the color contrast of the white tee and shoes against the black. It’s pretty much been my go to when styling this jumpsuit, but I’m excited to flex my styling muscles next spring when I pull it out again (it’s too thin a fabric for winter).

Nini Co Amelie Earrings in Olive

Glossier Generation G Lipstick in Zip

Warby Parker Chamberlain Glasses in Crystal

Details about this outfit:

This was a combo I wasn’t sure was going to work, but ended up LOVING how it came together. First, I love the warm caramely color palette and second, I love that it gave me the illusion of a wide leg pant… something I’ve really missed this pregnancy. Best part, this is an outfit I could easily do again once I’m not pregnant (though to be honest, breastfeeding would be a chore in this combo).

Details about this outfit:

You’ve seen a version of this outfit before, but I’m not sorry for sharing it a second time because it’s been one of my favorites. It makes me feel sleek and polished when those feelings are hard to come by at the moment. This Storq dress has been a constant in my maternity wardrobe and I’ve been really thankful for it. And while this tee is a new addition, I’ve already gotten a ton of use out of it, and I know that will only continue post pregnancy.

So funny story: I forgot I had this dress! I found it packed away with a bunch of pregnancy stuff, and I’m so glad to have it back in my rotation! It’s made to be a pregnancy/post partum dress as it’s super comfy and stretchy. I believe you can also sleep in it, but I like to reserve it for day wear. It’s such a handy dress to have for breastfeeding as well because the snaps at the front come all the way down. These dresses are a little hard to come by (you can sign up for their newsletter to be notified of new releases) because they sell out right away, but if you can get your hands on one they really are so nice (and worth the effort)!

Details about this outfit:

Dwell & Slumber Caftan Dress in Camel, Size XS/S. Sold out in this color, but available in a ton of other colors.

Nisolo Mariella Mules in Sand, Size 9

Details about this outfit:

This dress is an oldie, but a goodie. It’s such a nice throw on piece, and I find myself really gravitating towards those types of pieces as I get closer and closer to my due date. I just threw on a comfy pair of sandals and a statement pair of earrings and suddenly I have an interesting outfit that looks like I’m MOTIVATED in the morning (I’m really, really not).

Well that’s it for today folks! I was a bit more energized this week so I had a few more outfits to share than last week. From here on out everything has been prescheduled, so while I’m not showing you “real time” outfits, they are all outfits I have worn. In the meantime I’ll be resting, and trying to soak up as much time with my girls as possible before we’re a family of 6 (crazy!). See you on the flip side!

LOVE the knotted tee over the Storq dress. So cute and very chic. I follow you on IG, too, and am excited for you to meet your baby boy! Wishing you the best.
