NSale Try On Session – What I’m Keeping & What I’m Returning

Happy Thursday friends! After today I’ll be pretty darn quiet on all fronts until Monday next week. We’re heading up north to go camping and I’m going to take advantage of the spotty cell service and use it as an excuse to log off completely for a few days.

BUT I did want to get this post up for you guys because the NSale is officially live for all shoppers and I wanted you to have this valuable information 😉 before I ghost you.

So I placed a fairly sizable order from the sale, but I had/have no intention of keeping it all. Like I said in Monday’s wish list post, I’m looking for “one of everything”… in the categories I’m interested in (winter shoes, sweaters, jeans/pants).

I’ll take you through the try ons and then I’ll briefly break down why I’m keeping or returning each item. Also, just an FYI that things often get restocked, so if something is sold out check back a little bit later!

NSale Picks 1&2:

First up these pants: I mentioned being excited about these in my wish list post, and happily they did not disappoint. They are so comfy and easy to wear and they are the perfect trouser for a casual lifestyle. I’m wearing a size 4 so they run perfectly true to size.

The sweater I like way more than I thought I would. It’s a cashmere blend and it’s so soft and well made. I was unsure about the raw hem, but I actually really love that detail because it takes the basic cream sweater up another level. I’m wearing a medium so if you like this oversized fit go up a size like I did.

NSale Pick 3:

I really love this cardigan, but I’m a little unsure about it. The quality isn’t as nice as I would like it to be, but I also like that it’s not sooo expensive. But aside from that, I love and live in long maxi cardigans, but I don’t happen to have one in this color so I think I’m going to keep it. I ordered it in a size small and it’s a very oversized fit.

NSale Picks 4, 5, & 6:

First off this green sweater: this was the sweater I was most excited about, but I’m also undecided about this one (which means I’ll probably return it). I love the color and the neckline, but I’m just not sure it’s me. My style is pretty cozy feminine, and this doesn’t really fit that vibe in my opinion. I got it in a size small, and it’s very oversized so definitely size down if you love it.

Okay so now lets talk about the jeans.

The cropped jeans are really nice. They’re soft, stretchy and really comfortable to wear. I love the universally cool wash, the cropped fit and the easy straight leg. I would 100% keep them… BUT they are SO similar to my Re/Done Stove Pipe jeans so they just feel too redundant to justify keeping. I got them in my normal size 26 and they fit like a glove.

The longer jeans… I’m torn on these. On one hand, I really love them and think they are super cute and very trendy right now. My only concern with these is that I’m not sure how much wear I’ll get out of them. They seem very one dimensional in that, there’s only a small handful of ways I’d wear them so they don’t feel super versatile. The quality is SO good on them though and they are made out of the best kind of 100% cotton. I got my normal size 26 and again… they fit like a glove.

NSale Picks 7:

This navy pea coat doesn’t come off super well in these photos, but I really love it! Which is exciting because I’ve been searching for a navy coat for a long time. I love the cropped fit and the double breasted design… it’s not a super warm coat so it won’t work for super cold weather, but it’s still very cozy and I can’t wait to layer it up this winter. I got a 4 and it fits perfectly with enough room for a heavier sweater underneath.

NSale Picks 8 & 9:

I’ll be sending both of these back, but very reluctantly. I love the shape of this boot so much and the heel is the perfect height without being uncomfortable to walk in. The quality is so nice and the colors are the perfect tones. They’re just not exactly what I’m looking for. I want more of a sock boot, and the ankle shaft on these was just a tad bit too wide. These would look so cute with dresses though! The ankle height is perfect and they have a slight cowboy vibe to them that is really cute. I went with my true size 9, and they fit perfectly with socks.

Well that’s everything for now! I have a couple more things coming and when they get there I’ll add my thoughts to this post so definitely check back! And like I mentioned above, there usually are restocks so keep checking back if you really want something!

Have a great weekend everyone. 🙂

Until next time,

Karin
