This look is what I get when I make her stop playing to take a selfie.

Life happens sometimes.

I had originally planned to share a pretty awesome ethical jewelry shop today, but I totally dropped the ball on getting her the interview questions in time and then she had a sick child and then I had a sick child and… well you get the point:

Life.

I’ll still be sharing her shop at some point in the future, don’t worry! But we’re just going to be a bit flexible today! Cool?

It actually works out pretty well though because I knew I wanted to share this other shop with you at some point… might as well do it now!

And it’s a fun little change because as you can see from the photos above, the main subject of our little photo shoot was not me. Which is 100 times better anyway because Kit wins the cuteness award in our family.

I mentioned on Wednesday that when I was in New York, I stopped by the Market and picked up a couple of bows from the cutest little shop called Little Moony.

It was so nice chatting with Thuy, one half of the Little Moony team and I already knew at that point that I wanted to share what they’re doing with you guys… and then I looked at their website.

You guys. How great is this: Thuy works with her mother, Mama Xit (who has been sewing for over 30 years). Thuy does the designing and Mama Xit does the sewing. And they seriously make the most charming little pieces. To quote their website:

“Little Moony creates baby and children’s clothes for the modern mom’s love for sustainability and style and her budding fashionista’s need for comfort, laughter, and play. We offer easy-peasy, simple silhouettes in natural fibers and eco-friendly fabrics with unexpected, cute one-off details.”

Perfect!

I hope you’ll check them out! I’m hoping to add more of their pieces to Kit’s wardrobe soon. I especially love this little dress!

What do you think? Don’t you love the idea of a mother, daughter team?!

Until next time,

Signature

Thanks for reminding me why I don’t photograph kiddos anymore. Ha! My daughter is 20, now. Miss these sweet stages of growing up. She to is a great photographer so I’m slowly handing the reins of my biz to her. We do shoot weddings together. People love that!! It’s pretty special when you can work with your kids and inspire them.
I really need to get back to blogging, I’m sure enjoying reading yours. Guess I need to just do it! In a side note, are you a thrift or consignment shopper? I’d love to see a post about your thoughts/experiences. Thanks Karin! You have no idea how much you’re helping me to live more intentionally. ?

Haha! It’s a LOT of work to keep up! That is really special! How fun that you can pass it off to her! I AM a thrifter! I’d like to do a post at some point, but I’m thinking through what it would look like. And thanks so much for your kind words! It means so much to me to hear you say that!

I so badly wish Penelope’s hair would get a little longer/thicker so I can put bows and little pigtails in. She HATES all things bows or headbands and it sucks because I had gotten such cute ones for her! and I love baby sneakers. I love, love, LOVE them.

Oh bummer! I don’t know if this is a good thing or not, but Kit loves wearing bows and headbands because she thinks she looks really pretty in them ha! Vain child. Her converse are my favorite!

Kit is the cutest and that bow is darling! Life happens and that is okay! I’m learning that part of blogging is being able to relax and let go even when schedules don’t go how we originally planned.
