Do you see this scarf that I’m wearing?
It’s actually my sister in law’s artwork… printed on a scarf!
So cool yeah?
I know I’ve talked about this before, but when it comes to my accessories I like to keep things simple and I pretty much only buy secondhand or small maker pieces.
Yes, a huge part of that is because it’s more sustainable to do it that way, but it’s more than that for me.
I really love for my accessories to tell a story.
When I put on a piece of jewelry or a scarf I want to remember a person, a feeling, a memory.
It makes getting dressed more than just a mindless activity that I do every morning…
it gives my morning a ritualness that it wouldn’t have otherwise.
I’d like to get there with all of my clothing as well… wouldn’t it be cool to have an entire wardrobe full of pieces that have sentimental value?

Super cool scarf! (scarves with my sis-in-law’s artwork printed on them)
Until next time,
Most of my jewelry have a story behind it. Many pieces belonged to my mom and the rest are others I’ve thoughtfully added throughout the years or have been given to me by my husband. Your scarf is super cool! Your sister-in-law is talented!
I love that! That’s really the direction I’ve moved with my jewelry as well. And she really is! I’m constantly blown away by how artistic she is!
Awe!! Thanks girl : ) I feel the same about accessories— love meaning and memory. And if there is none of that, it better be exceptionally unique and beautiful!
You’re welcome! I love the scarf so much!
I am in love with your scarf! How talented your sister-in-law is! I agree with the jewelry. Most of mine comes from my family and my fashion jewelry is from secondhand stores. Love your handbag too.
