Happy Friday my dear friends! We’ve got a busy weekend ahead of us as we’ll be celebrating Ella and Rosie’s birthday with family this weekend. They’ve asked for a rainbow and unicorn party with Little Caesar’s pizza… done and done ha!
You have all probably noticed that I haven’t been wearing jeans as much this fall and winter, which for me has been quite a move away from my typical uniform but… I’m finding trousers and joggers to be JUST a little more comfy. Plus the full length on a trouser is a little easier to style than full length denim in my opinion which keeps me warm when the weather is cold. So now that I’ve gotten a feel for trousers in cold weather I’m excited to transition them into warm weather this spring so today I thought I would share two ways I’ll be wearing trousers in early spring.

This has been such a go to outfit combo for me and this is how I imagine I’ll bring it into spring – nothing is all that different except the layers are just a little bit lighter. It’s so versatile which has been my style mantra lately. I’ve never had a basic J. Crew cashmere sweater before but I am SOLD. They are so nice and I sized up to a large to give it a super relaxed fit. These pants are the new sailor pants and I love the timeless relaxed fit. This outfit just makes me feel good.

This is basically my uniform, but feminized… which is definitely what I lean towards in spring and summer. It’s all of the same concepts with a few simple twists that make the outfit look perfect for spring weather. The fisherman sandals from Freda Salvador are going to be such a staple for warm weather. The color goes with everything and they really do add something special to any outfit.
