Spring 2018 Outfit 26: Thrifting Unique Pieces

Remember when I said that these jeans needed to be more of a warm weather pair?

Looking at this outfit confirms that suspicion for me ha!

I just prefer them without a bunch of layers.

But I actually wanted to chat about the necklace in this photo!

I had noticed a bunch of super cute, stylish girls on Instagram wearing these beautiful chunky necklaces, and so I added one to my list of things to pick up.

But I decided to try to find one at the thrift store first.

It’s not that I’m opposed to buying jewelry from a small maker, but statement necklaces do exactly what their name says: they make a statement.

And I think sometimes if a brand is well liked and purchased from then everyone starts to kind of look the same.

Or at least it seems like everyone has the same two or three necklaces.

So I decided to try to find one secondhand so that it would be a bit unique, and…

success!

I found this one at my fave thrift store, and I just love how unique it is! I’ve never really seen anything like it!

Exactly what I was going for.

And that’s one of the things I love best about thrifting: your wardrobe ends up being so unique and different.
