You guys it has been so cold here lately. I honestly don’t even know how we’re surviving.
But you know what? I’m actually pretty proud of our ability to “shoulder on.” Us midwesterners are hearty folk I tell you. I know they call this part of the country the fly over states, but I’m telling you… come zombie apocalypse and we’re the ones surviving. Just you wait.
We braced ourselves against the temps today (5 degrees for the high!) to make a run to Aldi. It’s so nice now that the girls are big enough to sit up in the cart. I can actually get some errands done during the day, which means that evenings can actually be spent catching up on my new guilty pleasure: the Great British Baking Show. I’m not even a sweets person, but that show is addicting!
Anyway… reel it in Karin: this oversized sweater is ridiculously out of control. It’s so massive that I’m basically wearing a blanket (which, apparently is an actual thing). I think everyone needs a sweater like this in their closet… it’s not necessarily the most flattering piece in my closet, but it’s what you need for an Aldi run with three babies in 5 degree weather. It’s also perfect to throw on with leggings when you’re back at home.
How cold is it where you live? Are we the only ones experiencing this ridiculous freeze? Also, how strong do you think your chances would be in a zombie apocalypse? On a scale of 1-10 I think I’m at about a 7: I’m pretty scrappy and determined, but I’m also terrified of everything. I think it would come down to adrenaline for me.
