Yesterday was such a good day!
Lately I’ve been getting up early so that I can get all of my blogging work done before the girls’ day even starts and it has made such a huge difference for me.
It gives me so much more time during the day to get other things done and actually spend time pursuing a few hobbies.
There wasn’t anything overly special about yesterday… we just stayed home all day, but I was able to fit in a workout in the morning and I always feel so much better when I workout.
Plus it’s so funny because whenever I workout, Kit will go absolutely spastic. I have no idea what it is! I think she thinks I’m being really weird and silly so she starts acting really weird and silly haha! It does make it a little harder to get a good workout in, but I don’t mind… it’s too entertaining to be mad!
Also, Ella and Rosie are this close to crawling. More Ella than Rosie, but they’re starting to get up on their hands and knees and rock a bit. They’re currently doing an army crawl, which is actually pretty cute. I’m kind of dreading the day they become faster and more mobile. It’s already almost impossible to keep them off of Oscar and out of his food bowls. And yes, I know I could just move the food bowls out of the way, but I kind of just want to rip the bandaid off of teaching them to stay out of it now vs. later.
During the girls’ naps I finished up three pairs of jeans that I took in at the waist! I still can’t believe I was brave enough to go for it, but I’m so happy I did! Truthfully, the seams are a bit off, but it’s not super noticeable and I made it so that I could come back to it later when I’ve had a bit more practice to redo it. If anyone’s wondering I used this video for learning how to do it. It’s not the most polished video, but I watched a handful of videos and she describes the process the best.
I also got a little bit of alone time in the form of a gynecology appointment (ha!). The dr. and I were joking that I should just pretend there was a long wait and go get a cup of coffee or something (don’t worry David, I didn’t do that!). I had a little bit of a scare last week when I found a lump, but it doesn’t look like it’s anything to worry about so I’m feeling really relieved!
My mom had breast cancer (she’s okay now) so I’m a huge advocate for doing your own exams and getting in for regular appointments. It’s too important not to!
Kind of a normal, mundane day, but a really good one!
P.S. I’m loving the combo of this turtleneck under cardigans. It’s been such a cold winter that I’ll take all the layers I can get!
