A couple of weeks ago a good friend and I took our daughters to the Minneapolis Institute of Art. It was so very refreshing to walk around and see the artwork, to be in a place of culture, to watch the other patron’s who had come for the very same reason.
But I had a realization when I was there.
I realized that it had been awhile since I had intentionally surrounded myself with things that I am inspired by…
and that it is so easy to get caught up in the mundane moments in life that we forget to seek out the things that send a tingle down our spine. But oh! is it worth it.
I was so refreshed by that visit that for Valentine’s Day, David and I went back. And it just reaffirmed it for me all over again. I need moments, places, things in my life that inspire me.
But so often, the things that inspire us are hard to prioritize because… life.
But in those stolen moments in the art museum, I realized that it’s worth the effort. It’s worth fighting for. I came away from those moments feeling a new excitement that hadn’t been there before. It was SO worth it.
What inspires you?
Until next time,
Speaking of being inspired… I decided it was time to do a refresh on my site. I think this new look is so much more my style… light, bright, and a little feminine. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
