Fall Home Decor Refresh – My Affordable Finds

Karin Emily shares her affordable fall home decor refresh

We all have our things right? Personal style is mine, and… home decor is not. It’s not that I don’t enjoy it or appreciate a well designed home, it’s just that it’s not instinctual for me like personal style is. And it always takes me forever to decorate a space. I doubt myself and so then take a really long time to make a decision before adding anything to a room. And when I do add something I rarely spend a lot of money on it because of said indecision. I actually buy a lot from thrift stores or Target ha!

And this is why I don’t share home details that often… I just don’t feel like our spaces are ever “done.” BUT I have gotten a lot of questions the past few years about different things around our home, and I think it would be nice to have a place to easily point you guys when you have a question. So we’re doing it! And it’s the perfect time because I did do a recent fall refresh of my living room with some of the new fall pieces from Target AND they’re having a home sale at the moment so if you get some inspo you can grab things while they’re discounted.

So lets start with my living room today, and we’ll focus on another room in the near future:

Details:

I get asked about our couch all the time, and unfortunately it’s an older Ikea slip covered couch that is no longer available… and I can’t remember the style name so I’m sorry! I did find a similar style here if you’re interested.

Our black lamps are the Skurup floor lamps and our fur rug is the Ullerslev rug from Ikea.

The floral lumbar pillow is an older find from Target, but I found something really similar.

Pretty much all of the decorations on and above our piano are from thrift stores or antique shops, but the blanket basket to the side is old from Heddle & Lamm.

And finally, I do have this rug on my wishlist. I’ve hemmed and hawed about it for awhile, and I’m THIS close to committing to it ha! I do think it would work well in this space and pull it all together.

So there you have it! If you’ve been looking for a link, hopefully this was helpful for you guys… like I said I’m no expert at interior design, but I am very picky and I know what I like so over time I have really liked how this space has come together.

Until next time,

Karin
