Every February it happens without fail, I pull out my spring clothes from storage and just dream of the day when I can put on my fun spring blouses once again. Ha! That may be a little melodramatic, but it’s 100% true. There is nothing better in spring than a pretty, feminine blouse paired with jeans, and this year I’m finding the addition of bright accessories to be a fun way to mix things up a bit.
It’s such an easy combo, and it works every single time… and the best part is that you can’t really go wrong! Untucked, tucked, tied at the front… it doesn’t really matter because the formula is so fool proof that any iteration works. I wore this exact outfit with a trench thrown over on a day where things warmed up a bit, but I think it would look just as cute with tennis shoes, heels, sandals, etc.
If you’re wanting to freshen things up a bit this spring, I’d go for a fun detail like a floral print or an interesting collar, or even a traditional shape in a bright, punchy color. I’ve had this particular top for 3 years now (it’s still available!), and I love the Peter Pan detail… it makes a basic linen button down feel really special and that’s why it’s lasted so long in my wardrobe.

There are so many fun blouses this year, I love all of the variations on classic silhouettes that designers are playing with. Here are a few of my favorite styles:
Until next time,
