Happy 4th of July weekend!

I’m looking forward to a weekend of relaxation at our Aunt and Uncle’s lake home.

I’m sure you all know by now that I have the type of personality where its pretty hard to just relax and be unproductive.

But I’m making a point to do just that this weekend…

to spend time with family, to eat a lot, and to see Kit looking adorable in her little float.

I might even take a nap or two.

Bliss!

I hope you all have a good weekend as well with lots of relaxation. Let me know what your plans are in the comments below!

Oh! And if you live in the Minneapolis area do you have any good Firework shows that you normally attend?

    1. Oh that sounds so perfect! We basically did all of that except the s’mores and now I’m wishing we would have. 🙂 I hope you had a great time Tammy!

  1. Have an amazing and relaxing weekend! (I know how hard it is to just sit back and be unproductive too – must be an INFJ thing) Kit looks darling and oh my gosh, I love your shorts. 😀

    1. I think it totally is an INFJ thing! I hope your weekend was also amazing and relaxing. 🙂 And thank you! One of my better thrift store finds for sure. 🙂

  2. Have a wonderful weekend! I have a big to-do list, but it’s all fun, creative work that I’m looking forward to. But there will be a lot of relaxing too, because I’m hanging out at my sister’s house while she’s out of town and I have lots of movies with me. 🙂

I live in Minneapolis and a few years ago I went to the fireworks display at the Stone Arch Bridge. I absolutely loved it. (Of course, the Stone Arch Bridge is one of my favorite places in Minneapolis so that might have factored in, but I enjoyed the fireworks display and just loved being in that area.) I wasn’t impressed by the display at the Blaine Sports Center when I went. I don’t know where you are in Minneapolis and if that’s even an option, but people used to talk about how wonderful it is (even back when I went) and I wasn’t impressed at all. It also took forever to leave. I think my friend and I sat in the car for an hour or an hour and a half as we were pulling out of the parking lot.

    1. That’s the best kind of to-do-list! Watching movies all weekend actually sounds amazing! I hope you enjoyed it. We actually didn’t make it to fireworks this year, just because Kit was exhausted after the weekend. We DID do the Stone Arch bridge display a few years ago and it was fantastic… but SOOOOO crazy! It took us two hours to get out of there afterwards! I’d like to do it again sometime, but go super early to save a spot and then park far enough away that we don’t get stuck again.

  3. I am purposely taking a break from blogging and so much more this summer so that I can just relax!

  4. We’re due for a weekend of relaxation too…and really looking forward to it! 🙂 Hello from Nashville and wishing you a delightful, safe holiday weekend!

    1. Hi Krista! I’ve never been to Nashville, but it’s on my bucket list! 🙂 I hope you had a wonderfully relaxing weekend!

    1. You’re weekend sounds SO Erin! 🙂 If we lived closer, I’d ask you to teach me how to can things because I’ve always wanted to learn! I hope you had a great time!
