These colorful converse were kind of a breakthrough (lots of those lately!) for me.

I’ve been searching for the perfect (but elusive) pair of statement shoes for a really long time.

I tried on so many pairs that just didn’t work.

And you know what?

I realized that I was pursuing the wrong type of shoe.

I was looking for heels or ballet flats or something like that.

I don’t like any of those types of shoes. Just try catching me wearing a pair of heels (other than my clogs of course!).

Then I saw these yellow converse and it all just came together for me.

I realized that a statement shoe was in the cards for me, but in sneaker form.

As a stay at home mom, I am in comfy clothes 90% of the time, and these shoes work for, not only my style, but my lifestyle as well.

Considering your lifestyle is so important when putting together a capsule wardrobe… you would think I would have figured that out by now, but, well? It’s a process you guys.

What types of clothes fit in with your lifestyle?

P.S. notice the makeup stains on the collar of my shirt? #everydangtime

  1. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding where we had to wear a blue dress with Orange shoes, our choice. I asked my unconventional bride friend if I could wear Orange converse and she said go for it! I knew I would never wear Orange heels (not my color) but I definitely would wear Orange converse. And that’s how I acquired my statement shoe.
